The College Football season is in full swing, as games start Thursday night and will run all the way through Monday.
The season is here, and the National Football League is next. Arizona and Arizona State both are looking like they will start the season with a cupcake win.
But, as always the case with the Wildcats and the Sun Devils, you just never know. Those two games are nowhere near the top of the list for the weekend, though.
Let’s take a look at the Top 5 College Football games to bet on Saturday alone in College Football.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers +14.5 at UCLA Bruins
The UCLA Bruins better be careful on Saturday. The Bruins lost a ton of talent from a season ago. The Chanticleers did not.
And Coastal Carolina was a bowl team a season ago, so they are going to be battle-tested. The Bruins will want to make sure they do not take lightly the team going across the country to play a late-night game in Los Angeles.
The Chanticleers will come to play. Coastal Carolina covers the two+ touchdown spread, and a possibility of winning this game outright.
Toledo Rockets +10 at Illinois Fighting Illini
This is a very similar case from the first bet of Saturday. The Rockets are another team battle-tested, coming off a bowl game, and have talent returning. Many are talking about how Illinois was solid last season and will be good again, and while they have talent on the line returning, their skilled players are gone.
It becomes difficult to immediately replace guys like that. Look for the Rockets to give the Illini fits all Saturday and another chance for a potential upset over a Big Ten team here.
Toledo wins this game 27-24 over the Fighting Illini and becomes the darling of Week 1 College Football.
USC Trojans -38 vs. Nevada Wolf Pack
The Trojans lost a cover a week ago with a back-door touchdown late in the game. Part of that was their problem, as they have to be better on the defensive side.
Lincoln Riley was pleased with his team, and they get another cupcake to start their season. Nevada is not as good as San Jose State. The Trojans will get to 50+ in this game.
It’s hard to imagine Nevada can score more than two touchdowns this game. This seems like a 55-13 type game on Saturday night. Like the Trojans big here.
Boise State Broncos +14 at Washington Huskies
The Boise State Broncos are never a team you want to play in the first week of the season.
But the Washington Huskies are more than battle-tested. Michael Penix Jr. and his Huskies were the top passing offense a season ago. Boise State had all offseason to prepare to slow that offense down, and to some degree, they will.
The Broncos keep this game close with their disciplined, tough, physical attitude. In the end, the Huskies win, but Boise State leaves with a close loss. Take Washington 35-31 over Boise State.
Tennessee Volunteers -27.5 vs. Virginia Cavaliers
Blowout city in Nashville. The Virginia Cavaliers will be one of the worst College Football teams in the nation. Tennessee, on the other side, will not be. In fact, the Volunteers have a chance to be one of the best offenses in College Football.
The fans in Nashville are going to get a show, as we expect Tennessee to reach 50+ points in this game. A final score prediction of 52-10 is not out of the question. Tennessee in a blowout!
Enjoy the games this weekend. We are looking forward to them and expect there to be some really good ones from start to finish. It will be fun to follow the Pac-12 and see what goes on from there, and best of luck if you are betting on the games!
Be sure to check back next week as we break down some of the best National Football League games of Week 1. That includes the Arizona Cardinals in their Week 1 affair against the Washington Commanders!
