Cardinals Go into Week 9 as Underdogs to Cleveland

The National Football League turns to November, and Week 9 is here. The Arizona Cardinals have played 8 games so far this season, and been underdogs in every game, and lost all but one. This time, the Cardinals are underdogs again, on the road. Let’s take a look at their games and a few of the other big games around the National Football League for Week 9:

Arizona Cardinals +8 at Cleveland Browns

Gone is Joshua Dobbs, as the signal caller for the Cardinals. Dobbs was certainly up and down, but not the reason the Arizona Cardinals are 1-7. Dobbs was traded to Minnesota after the Vikings lost Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the season. Dobbs threw for nearly 1,600 yards and 8 touchdowns, with 5 interceptions on the season. Now, it’s time for Clayton Tune to take a chance.

He will get his first start against a vaunted Cleveland defense. While the Browns defense has been beat up a bit as of late, they are still one of the best in the league. Arizona still remains without James Conner, as their lead running back. Tune will need to get right with Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson, and Trey McBride as his top targets. Those three have combined for over 1,000 receiving yards this season. There cannot be high expectations for Arizona in this game or the rest of the season. This is a rebuilding team with a roster not ready to compete. The Browns should win this game by double digits.

Los Angeles Rams +3.5 at Green Bay Packers

The Rams are struggling a bit. Los Angeles has dropped to 3-5 on the season, and need to get back on track. They are heading to colder Green Bay, where the Packers have actually been even worse than the Rams. Sean McVay hopes Matthew Stafford is under center after his finger injury. He is a veteran, and tough, so we expect him back. Stafford would be wise to get back with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp early and often. The Packers roster does not look solidified, as they do not have offensive players that fit their system very well. The Rams go on the road and win this game on Sunday!

Seattle Seahawks +6 at Baltimore Ravens

The first place Seattle Seahawks will take on the first place Baltimore Ravens. Many around the league just keep forgetting Geno Smith and his ability to keep his team in games, and win as well. Geno just gets the job done. But, in this one he is going to face a tough task, as the Ravens have emerged as one of the best teams in the league. Baltimore leads the AFC North, and Lamar Jackson is playing like a MVP. Look for Jackson to use his legs and his arm to win this game, and win by a touchdown or more. Taking Baltimore, playing at home here.

Miami Dolphins +1.5 at Kansas City Chiefs

The early morning game from Germany. Tyreke Hill of the Dolphins gets to play against his old team. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking to bounce back after their poor performance against the Broncos last week. Look for a fun game here. Two of the better offenses in the league getting together. Travis Kelce is going to be tough for the Dolphins to stop, and the Cheetah and the Miami speed will be tough for Kansas City to stop. Bet the OVER in this game, as the fans put on a show in Germany.

Buffalo Bills +1.5 at Cincinnati Bengals

The SUnday Night Football game. A rematch of that devastation game that never finished a season ago. The Bills are 5-3, the Bengals are 4-3. Joe Burrow against Josh Allen. Allen and the Bills need a win badly, as they are chasing the Dolphins. Cincinnati has got to keep winning to keep pace with the talented AFC North. In the end the home team gets a small advantage here. Taking the Bengals at home!

Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 at New York Jets

Monday Night Football. Obviously, this would be a more attractive game if Aaron Rodgers was under center for the Jets. Instead it’s Zach Wilson. The Chargers are hoping last week’s win over the Bears springboards them into a bunch of wins and a chance at the postseason. Los Angeles is going to use that momentum and win on the road. The Chargers defense for the second straight weekend takes advantage of a poor quarterback on the other side.

There it is. Those are some of the best games, and the NFC West games on tap for Sunday November 5th. We have already gotten to Week 9. The season is flying by, and these games are going to pick up the intensity as they continue along. Best of luck and enjoy the season!
