As the sports betting market in Arizona gets closer to launch, more companies are securing partnership deals in an attempt to obtain licensing. Most recently, MaximBet announced a deal with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, hoping to secure market access as a joint effort.

Professional sports teams and tribal casinos are eligible for a sports betting license in the state, both online and in retail format. For sports betting brands like MaximBet, a partnership with such an entity is crucial to getting in on the action.

Partnership Details

The Carousel Group is the owner and operator of the MaximBet brand, a company affiliated with the popular Maxim Magazine. Last week, MaximBet secured the partnership with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, one of several deals the company has signed over the past few months. The brand is live in Colorado and has secured access in both Iowa and Indiana as well.

MaximBet has big plans with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, with a goal set to achieve even more market access in the US. The brand plans to work on licensing in Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Missouri.

Carousel Group CEO, Daniel Graetzer, commented on the new deal in Arizona, stating the company is thrilled to be partnered with the White Mountain Apache Tribe to bring MaximBet to Arizona. Graetzer said:

“With some of the best sporting teams in the country and a highly engaged sports community, we are confident Arizona will be drawn to our consumer-friendly app, world-class customer service, and the incredible live events we are planning for the State.”

White Mountain Apache operates the Hon-Dah Resort-Casino in Arizona. The general manager of the property, Brent Kurth, commented on the new deal, stating the tribe is excited to work with MaximBet and the Carousel Group. Mr. Kurth said the partnership will unlock a new revenue stream for the tribe and will be critical to the economic future of the tribe and its members.

What Comes Next?

With the partnership, an application has been jointly filed for licensing in the state. The Arizona Department of Gaming will need to clear the proposal before a license will be approved. If clearance is given, it would not be surprising to see the operator launch as quickly as possible.

It is expected that sports betting will be live in Arizona by early September. The goal is to have operators approved and services up and running by the time the new NFL season begins. Users of the MaximBet sportsbook will find the brand focuses on lifestyle betting, appealing to those who are beginners to betting as well as seasoned veterans.

Players can expect to find quality promotions along with rewards options at the site. Frequent players will have access to real-life incentives, a strategy that MaximBet is using to pull ahead in operating markets.

Other sports betting companies are also finding partners in the state. DraftKings has teamed up with the PGA Tour while FanDuel is working with the Phoenix Suns. For BetMGM, the company has decided to go with the NFL’s Cardinals.
