Week Two of the National Football League kicks off on Thursday, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Minnesota Vikings.

Locally, the Arizona Cardinals will start their home season with a game against the New York Giants. The Cardinals are underdogs again in this game, following their Week One loss on the road at Washington.

Cardinals Fall in Opener; Welcome Boys from Big Apple to Town

The Cardinals led the game for a solid chunk, including 16-10 at the end of three quarters. Arizona could not get into the end zone in the second half of the game and fell 20-16. Joshua Dobbs was 21 of 30 for 132 yards, but no touchdowns for the signal caller, and he also did not turn the ball over.

James Conner led the rushing attack with 14 carries for 62 yards, while Marquise Brown was the leader in receiving but finished with just 28 yards. Arizona did not score a touchdown on the offensive, recovered a strip sack for a touchdown, and Matt Prater nailed three field goals.

Now, it is the New York Giants coming to town. The Giants were one of the teams embarrassed by their Week One performance. Daniel Jones and his teammates also did not get into the end zone, nor did they score in any capacity.

The Cowboys ran the Giants off the Metlife Field by 40-0. Now, the Giants come into this game -5.5 over Arizona, totaling 39.5. It’s a low total but about right for two teams that looked pathetic on the offensive end last week.

The Cardinals will need to make sure they contain Saquon Barkley. The former Penn State star wants to break loose and would love to use this opportunity in Glendale.

Rest of the NFC West

The other NFC West teams saw two wins and a loss, and the lone loss was to the Los Angeles Rams.

San Francisco went to Pittsburgh and beat up the Steelers, while the Rams went to Seattle and smashed Pete Carrol and his Seahawks. When looking at Week 2, the Seattle Seahawks go on the road to Detroit and are listed at +5, with a total of 47.5 points. The 49ers are at the Rams.

Los Angeles was one of the pleasant surprises in Week One; now is the real test, as they get divisional foe – and talented offensive bunch San Francisco at SoFi Stadium. The 49ers are -8 in this game, and the total is 44.5.

Other Week Two Games

As mentioned earlier, the week starts Thursday night, as the Philadelphia Eagles are -6.5 at home against the Vikings. Minnesota looked poor in their opener and will need to bounce back quickly. The Eagles won their Week One game but looked sporadic in doing so. This is the home opener in Philadelphia.

The Chicago Bears, after laying an egg in Week One at home against the Packers, will go to Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers, following their win over the Vikings, are -2.5, and the total for the game is 40.5.

Jordan Love and his Green Bay Packers are 1-0 after their win over the Bears. The Packers are on the road at the Atlanta Falcons in Week Two.

The Packers are a single-point favorite on the road, with 40.5 as the total. The big game in the AFC North features the Baltimore Ravens at the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow and the Bengals got beat by the Browns in Week One. They will look for a bounceback, as they are -3.5 at home against Baltimore.

The Dallas Cowboys are -9 at home against the Jets. New York’s big news was the loss of Aaron Rodgers for the remainder of the season.

Primetime Games

The Sunday Night Football game will feature Tua and his Miami Dolphins on the road at the Patriots. The Dolphins came to Los Angeles and beat the Chargers, while New England fell at home to the Eagles.

Miami is -3, with a total of 46.5 for Sunday Night Football. Monday Night Football features a pair of games. The New Orleans Saints are -3 at the Carolina Panthers, and the Cleveland Browns are -2.5 on the road at Pittsburgh. The total in this game is listed at 38.5.

Enjoy the NFL Week 2 action. Best of luck with your NFL Week 2 bets, and Go Cardinals!
