Week 5 of College Football Sees Pac-12 Battle to Kick Off Weekend

A week ago, we saw some tight games, especially with games between UCLA/Utah, Arizona/Stanford, and Washington State/Oregon State. We get five games in the Pac-12 this week and hope for similar tight results.

The league is down to five teams unbeaten on the season, as Colorado, Oregon State, and UCLA lost last week.

Locally, the Arizona Wildcats are three wins away from being bowl-eligible, while the Sun Devils of Arizona State have dropped three straight games. Let’s take a look at the Week 5 of the College Football season with the Pac-12 battles.

Utah Utes +3.5 at Oregon State Beavers

This is a fun game on Friday night. Friday Night Lights from Corvallis. Utah is a defensive machine. The Utes allowed just a touchdown against the UCLA Bruins—last week.

The Utes are incredible on the defensive side of the ball but still struggle to put consistent points on the board. The Beavers are coming off a loss last week against Washington State. So, now, the Beavers will be hungry in this game. Look for a great battle in this one, as the national spotlight is on the game.

USC Trojans -21.5 at Colorado Buffaloes

The Big Noon Saturday game on FOX. The USC Trojans are coming off the game where they struggled against Arizona State. Now, they are going to Boulder for a tilt against the Buffaloes.

The Trojans are looking to win this road game and a home game against Arizona before the big game on the road at Notre Dame. Colorado is getting a ton of hype but came off a blowout loss a week ago. The Buffaloes will have their hands full in this one at home.

Arizona State Sun Devils +11.5 at California Bears

California is glad to return home after allowing 59 points on the road at Washington. Now, they get an Arizona State team, one of the worst offensive teams in College Football.

This game has a low total, with 47.5 points. The Bears played a game earlier this season where they saw the total finish at 24 points against Auburn. Arizona State should be able to cover double digits with a low-scoring affair.

Oregon Ducks -27.5 at Stanford Cardinal

The Ducks are an excellent football team. The Ducks put the beatdown on the Colorado Buffaloes last season. Now, they get to go to Palo Alto and take on a Stanford team that has dropped three straight games. Stanford is coming off a 21-20 loss in Week 4.

Oregon did not let Colorado stand in the way and looked for Dan Lanning to prepare his Ducks for this game. Oregon has a bye week next week and then a trip to Washington in a massive Top 10 game on October 14th.

Washington Huskies -18 at Arizona Wildcats

Michael Penix Jr. is one of the top candidates for the 2023 Heisman. The former Indiana Hoosiers signal-caller has completed 103 of 138 passes for 1,636 yards and 16 touchdowns. The quarterback has just two interceptions on the season. Washington has scored 41 points or more in all four games they have played this season. This will be a massive test for the Wildcats.

Can the Wildcats slow down the Huskies at all? Arizona is 3-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming on the road at Mississippi State. Arizona will have to run the football if they want any chance in this one.

The leaders in the conference, USC, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Arizona, are all in action.

Let’s see how many teams will remain unbeaten in league play following Week 5. We hope you enjoy all the action in College Football this week and every year. Best of luck if you are betting on these games!
