Happy Thanksgiving to you all. The National Football League will take center stage on Thanksgiving Day. There is a three pack of games to be played on Thanksgiving Day. Let’s take a look at the games:
Green Bay Packers +7.5 at Detroit Lions; 47.5
The last time these two teams played; it was in Green Bay, and the Lions put the beatdown on the Packers. This was a Thursday Night Football game. Now, the teams are in Detroit. The Lions are one of the top teams in the NFC, with 8 wins. The Packers are coming off a win, but Jordan Love against the tough Lions defense in primetime does not seem like the right ingredient just yet.
David Montgomery was the player of the game with three touchdowns last time. Look for him and his running mate Jahmyr Gibbs to dominate the game. Jared Goff is there when needed behind center, but the Lions run the ball early and often. The Lions win this game by double digits at home.
Washington Commanders +10.5 at Dallas Cowboys; 48.5
The Washington Commanders are on life support. Ron Rivera and his Commanders fell for the second time to the New York Giants. The Giants have been horrific, but two wins over the Commanders made their 2023 season. The Commanders cannot protect the quarterback, and they turn the ball over too much. Now, they get a Dallas team that gets after the quarterback, causes turnovers, and loves to speed up the game.
The Cowboys are going to win this game at home. The question is going to be how much. We are in the camp that this game is not going to be close. The Cowboys smoke Washington at home. Take a second blowout on Thanksgiving and bet the Cowboys -10.5.
San Francisco 49ers -6.5 at Seattle Seahawks; 43.5
This should be the best game of the day. These two NFC West teams will meet twice in the next couple weeks. This game is in Seattle. The Seahawks are coming off the loss to the Rams, which means they fell a single game behind the 49ers in the division. A win here, and they are right in the mix. A loss here, and two games back, going to San Francisco soon is not a great spot. The biggest issue for the Seahawks is the question marks of Geno Smith and Kenneth Walker III.
Those two are keys in the Seattle offense for Pete Carroll, which could lead to big trouble. The 49ers are playing good football since their three straight losses. Look for a big game from Christian McCaffrey. It’s hard to imagine the Seahawks competing within a touchdown here, as they are too banged up. 49ers win by a touchdown or more.

Miami Dolphins -9.5 at New York Jets; 40.5
This game features the Miami Dolphins on the road at the New York Jets. Miami is a big favorite in this game. Tua and Tyreke continue to wreak havoc on their opponents all season. Miami’s recent win was a sweaty one, but they got the job done over the Las Vegas Raiders at home.
Miami still leads the AFC East, and would like to improve their status before another meeting later against the Bills.The Dolphins are -9.5 on the road at the Jets in this game.
