Updated NFL MVP Betting Odds

The National Football League has reached its halfway point of the season, and the odds to win the National Football League Most Valuable Player have heated up for discussion.  The Arizona Cardinals do not have a single player in the top 42, and likely would need to go much further to find one. It’s going to be a long second half in Arizona for the NFL.

But, there are many great players around the league to make it worth watching. Let’s take a look at the up to date betting odds to win the 2023 Most Valuable Player in the National Football League:

Lamar Jackson +350

Jackson heads into Week 10 as the leader in the clubhouse. Jackson was dominant in the blowout win over Seattle, and did not even need to throw a touchdown pass. The Ravens are forming into one of the best teams in the league. Jackson has played in nine games this season, and thrown nine touchdowns, but the use of his legs is what is putting him at the top of the list. Jackson has five rushing touchdowns on the season. This is what the Ravens paid up for in the off-season, and it seems to be paying off for the AFC North leaders.

Jalen Hurts +350

Another guy that uses his leagues when needed most is Jalen Hurts. Hurts has had such a good season, they design a play, the entire league cannot duplicate just for him. Hurts has 7 rushing touchdowns on the season, and thrown for 15. Hurts does not have as many rushing yards, as he is at 316, but his connection with AJ Brown in the passing game is one of the most deadly in all of the National Football League. Hurts is listed at +350 to win the 2023 Most Valuable Player in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes +350

Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs continues to get the job done. The offense for the Chiefs has been middled for most of the season, but here they are, leading the AFC West, and have just two losses on the season. Mahomes has 17 passing touchdowns and 8 interceptions, with nearly 2,500 yards. The quarterback is also using his legs to move the chains. Mahomes does not have a touchdown run, but has 42 carries and 258 yards on the season.

Tua Tagovailoa +650

The left-hander for the Dolphins was not great in his game at Germany, in front of a national audience. In fact, the Dolphins have not been real good in any of their best games this season. Against the Bills, the Eagles and now the Chiefs. Fortunately for them they do not have to play any of those teams again, except Buffalo, this time at home. Tua has 19 passing touchdowns to 7 interceptions on the season. Tyreke Hill and him form another outstanding connection, and one that will be tough to slow down come postseason time.

Joe Burrow +700

Talk about a guy coming on strong. That’s Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals. After an injury over the summer, and a slow start, Burrow has turned it on. The common denominator with these elite quarterbacks is their ability to form a connection with their top threat. That’s Jamarr Chase in Cincinnati. Burrow threw for 348 yards in the recent Sunday Night Football win over Buffalo. Burrow and the Bengals are fighting in the AFC North, a division that could very well have four teams finish above .500.

Christian McCaffrey +1400

The first no quarterback on the list. McCaffrey from the 49ers leads the National Football League with more than 650 yards. He also has caught 32 passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns on the season. McCaffrey has scored a touchdown in every game he has played this season. It will be interesting to see if the 49ers can turn it around, with three straight losses. The one guy that can make a big difference is that is the former Stanford running back.

Others in Consideration:

  • Josh Allen +2000
  • Trevor Lawrence +2000
  • Brock Purdy +2500
  • Tyreek Hill +3500

Enjoy the rest of the season, and with our money, taking a flier on Joe Burrow at +700 seems to be the smart move. He is coming, and if can find a way to keep winning will have quite the chance late in the season. Good luck and enjoy!
